We are finding our way forward, out of the worst of the COVID-19 pandemic. Services at our church building are now open to unlimited attendance, and we continue to offer our parishioners the option to attend virtually. Our worship and other gatherings are starting to look more like the familiar forms they took before March 2020. We look forward to seeing many of you in person again soon!
At each service we:
- read portions of the Bible,
- listen to a homily that helps explain and relate the readings to our daily lives,
- re-affirm our Christian beliefs by reciting the Apostles’ Creed,
- ask for help for ourselves and others,
- and celebrate God’s presence in our lives.
Services include the Holy Eucharist, in bread form with the option of intinction for those who wish to receive wine. The Holy Eucharist, or Holy Communion, is one of the central sacraments of the Episcopal Church. It is a physical re-enactment of Jesus’ last supper, in which bread and wine are consecrated (blessed) and consumed. The term “Eucharist” comes from the Greek by way of Latin and means “thanksgiving.”
Our worship schedule includes two Sunday services: 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. The 10:00 a.m. Sunday service is livestreamed via our Facebook page.
